Wood-fired oven, a real authentic Venetian atmosphere, authentic Italian ingredients, fresh fish and seafood. Furthermore, we boast in the person of Fabio Bucciol – a real Venetian chef.

These are the ingredients that Trattoria Venezia feels obliged to offer to our guests – the  world famous wonders of Italian cuisine, ever since its  opening in 1992. Trattoria Venezia is one of the oldest Italian restaurants in Budapest operated by the same owners since 1997.

Our wine list predominantly reflects  Italian tradition, but the finest homeland wineries  are represented as well since a large and varied wine list has always been a compulsory part of the traditionally high-quality Italian hospitality with which we would like to spoil our guests again and again.

So they speak that back in the second half of the nineteenth century, there had been a plan to design a real “canale” here in Budapest, next to our restaurant, in the place of the present Boulevard called József körút –  at least this is how Ferenc Reitter imagined it. Although the plan of this shipping route finally was dismissed we hope that our restaurant milieu, food and beverage selection creates an atmosphere as if you really were on the banks of a canale, a real Venice’s canal to indulge in the immersive experience of Italian cuisine.
